      <image:title>Grief and Loss</image:title>
<image:caption>Whether loss touches us in through the death of a loved one or pet, the ending of a significant relationship, career change, or a life transition, we all are all impacted by grief in various ways throughout our lives. While grief is universal, we all experience it differently. Although I believe there is no “right” way to grieve, unexpressed grief can lead to distressing physical and emotional symptoms such as difficulty sleeping, sad mood, and loss of motivation to name a few. I also recognize that grief can be complicated and is rarely linear. Sharing our pain with others can help us better understand our grieving process and begin healing. While therapy cannot change the magnitude of a loss, it can help us create meaning in our current experiences.</image:caption>

<image:title>Trauma - Similar to grief, trauma impacts many of us and is experienced in many different ways. Both acute and chronic traumatic experiences can manifest in physical, behavior, and emotional symptoms. However, humans are inherently resilient and we can heal by tuning into our bodies and emotions.</image:title>
<image:caption>Trauma can make it difficult to connect with both others and our emotions. In understanding our response to trauma, we can become empowered to feel safe and harness our inner strength. My practice holds space for honoring and validating your past experiences while also collaborating with you to review and/or develop coping skills to help stay grounded in the present.</image:caption>
